The spec sheet for my M59 says it's travel width is 6.25ft. I very much want yo get s 3pt tiller AND my wife says go for it!!
I've always heard you want the tiller wider than the tires. But a 7ft tiller is a grand more than a 6ft tiller
Anyone with experience have some guidance? Thanks all

This is a 7’ behind my MX6000 with the wheels set in their almost widest setting. Which I believe is 78” outside to outside. Covers the tracks nicely.

I run a 5' tiller, offset behind my 6' wide tractor. the left tire track becomes the pathway for the gardener to 'do her thing'.
No way I'd pay $1,000 MORE for less 'seat time' !!

You definitely want to cover your wheel tracks. Especially if you need to till close to a fence or anything else. An alternative is to get a tiller that offsets.

I agree with covering the tracks. Cover mine with both of mine and I don’t think I would want the other way, but I don’t know that for certain…I just know how I use mine. YMMv.

I guess for me it would depend on what and how much you plan to till and the result you want.

IMO, M59 is a pretty sizable machine and might as well use the capability. It’s not my money either.
