I own a 1994 M5030SUMDT. When I first bought it 5 years ago, the PTO disengaged when I pressed in on the clutch. Now, it doesn't do anything to the PTO when I press in on the clutch. A couple of years ago the fusible link on my tractor came loose and eventually I removed it altogether. I was in the middle of a huge bush hogging project, so I was just trying to get it fixed and get going again. When I removed the link, nothing immediately happened (tractor started, lights/panel worked, etc.), so I went back to cutting and didn't think about the PTO not disengaging when I pressed the clutch...or if I did I ignored it and kept going trying to finish. Well, I didn't fool with fixing the fusible link because, honestly, I forgot about it. My questions are: 1. Does the fusible link actually control the live PTO (I hope I'm using this term correctly)? 2. How do I rewire the fusible link? 3. If the fusible link doesn't control the live PTO, how do I fix my tractor such that the PTO again disengages when I press all the way in on the clutch? Thanks for any help you guys can offer.
