Skeets, I’ll be doing what I have been doing till now, mostly logging in the dry times, snow plowing and usual heavy hauling.
I hope to not be busting all the stuff I broke on the 6040!
Should have titled it M4 071

I tried posting this in the original thread but keep getting error messages that page is not available, so here they are now.
Delivered yesterday !
Is one of the SSQA lock arms bent? M4s are nice tractors and the buddy/instructor seat is a neat option.

No, the arms are not bent, they were quite muckled on the 6040. Even with the buddy seat the cab is comfortably roomy.
This just looked odd to me that's all (see white arrow).

Isn't that some sort of janky connection to the bucket level indicator?

My new MX came with a bucket level indicator. I have no idea why. The top of the bucket is parallel with the bottom of the bucket, so when the top of the bucket is level the whole bucket is level.

I had wondered if it was related to the bucket level indicator or auto leveling or something. I have the same LA1154 loader and you can see the bucket level indicator in the photo of my M6060 below. The MX uses the same system/design. I have the current Kubota logo on the loader (April 2022) so perhaps there was a design change.

It looks like an after market bucket that someone welded up a joiner to keep the level indicator working. But I could be wrong.

Edit: looking closer and zooming in, no, it does look like a bent SSQA arm. It doesn't actually join through to the level indicator.

The right hand arm is slightly bent but it looks worse when photo’d from the side ,

And someone has tried to straighten it .... the arm that twice they said wasn't bent.

Had to look twice at it to see the bend🔍
😂

I bet you're going to enjoy the new tractor. I like the M4 cab which is definitely an upgrade over the M6060/M7060, which even though dated is still a nice cab, just not as nice the M4.

Definitely liking the cab and particularly the AC , heat and radio that work. Heat and radio were NFG in the 6040❄
