I’m looking at the titled tractor.
1800 hours, says it got serviced every 500 hours or once a year. Two rear remotes and 3rd function. Says it was used mostly for bush hogging and some plowing. Asking $38k.
What say you?

There are lots of options and two styles of cab, but for a tractor that sells new for at least $75k the question is what is the $40k difference worth to you? If 1,800 hours doesn't bother you, and the tractor will do what you need, and it's been well maintained it sounds like a no brainer.

I have not seen the tractor or spoken to the owner yet. I need to arrange a meeting. I’ll update when I have done so. The machine is not too far from me.

Finally made contact with the owner and plan to see it this weekend.
Anyone have experience with this machine and what I should be looking for?

I would ask owner how he used the tractor and inspect the FEL and front axle for signs of abuse.

Well, I bought the tractor and he’ll deliver it by this weekend. I will post pictures.
It’s a lot of tractor 😁

Compared to a BX thats a bit of an understatement

Dan
Not as much of a jump compared to the M6040 he says he has. I went from a BX25D to an MX6000HST which was a big jump for a couple of weeks until the BX felt like a toy in comparison.

An M4 is basically an M6060/M7060 with a more modern cab.

@fruitcakesa, congratulations. Looking forward to seeing photos and hearing about your latest tractor. Are you keeping the M6040?

True compared to the 6040 it’s not that big a jump but it’s too big to fit in the old drive shed so a new home for it is on the horizon 😁 I sold the 6040 in 2 days!
