Greetings! I have a 2022 M4-071D that I bought new (aged stock unit) this past winter for my custom hay farm. This spring, I found out the hard way that my tractor has the bonus feature of not wanting to start after giving it a work out. After making the tractor work a bit, if you shut the engine off and try to restart it, the engine will not attempt to turn over. It is like a safety interlock is not being made. If I leave the tractor sit for a couple of hours and come back, moving none of the controls, it will restart.
I searched and found a couple of threads from 2022 and 2023 with people having the same issue, but did not see a resolution. Has anyone found a resolution to this?
I sent the tractor back to the dealer I purchased it from before hay season started, and they could not duplicate the issue nor did they show much interest in looking into it. I have since spoke with my local dealer, and they have a much better attitude about it. Though they have not heard of the issue, they plan to put it on their dyno and see if they can duplicate. But I have to wait to get past peak hay season first.
Any feedback will be appreciated.
