My dad just bought a used 2010 M135X and the air conditioner is not working (compressor not pulling in) We are trying to find the connections to hook up the gauges. We do not see them under the hood. Haven't ordered a WSM yet, but could someone point us where the connectors may be? Are they under the top? If so, how hard is it to remove the top?

On both my M's they are under the top. Not hard to remove, in fact I suggest removing it every year or so and cleaning the components out (from dust and junk), the ac and heat will work much better. All the phillips head screws in the headliner have to be removed to take the top off. and I'd suggest lining the underside of the top with Reflectix before re-installing it. Will make the ac more efficient.

Takes 134A btw.

Made a boo-boo. On both my M's the recharge ports are on the backside of the compressor in the aluminum lines. I went and looked at the WSM to make sure. Only thing under the top cover is the water valve and associated components, heater core and evaporator with the circulation fan. I've never had to recharge either of mine though I've had the top off a few times to clean it out with compressed air..
