I have a ZD1211 and a L4060HSTC.

Both of them I installed a relay that runs the horn. I ran a wire to the oil pressure switch. I disconnected the wire from the switch that went to the light.

When you don't have oil pressure the switch goes to ground.

I used the same horn that ZD1211 uses if it gets to hot.

On the tractor I added switch so I can shut it off if I want the key on with the engine off.

K7501-61550-620 Horn

This is the relay I used. It is way bigger than I need.

You do know that a kubota diesel engine losing oil pressure is about as rare as you finding a gold nugget just laying on the ground. 😋

Now doing something like that for over temp, now there is a winning setup. ;)

L3940 last summer bushhogging in deep cattails, hit a rock on the oilpan. L3940 has the oil drain on the bottom of the oilpan. I stopped and no apparent damage. Continued hogging until the plug vibrated loose and broke the camshaft due to lack of lube. A buzzer may of saved that day.

Sounds like you found your nugget of gold.
The oil light on the dash would have saved the day, if you looked at it. 🤨 😋

Bright sunlight makes that difficult. Engineering the oilpan with the drainplug on the bottom as opposed to my L5740 on the side is a vulnerability.

I do know that. It does happen once in a while.

Do you know if the 4060 would have a place to monitor the water temp.

Oh and now that you mention you have a L4060, I wouldn't disconnect the factory oil light it's very possible the computer will not like you doing that!

Get a tee and add a second oil switch, Or just put a diode across the coil of the relay.

DO NOT tie into the factory temp sending unit because the computer uses it to tell the glow plugs when to operate.

If you want to add a temp switch add one to this port.
