I bought a 2013 kx080 excavator last year. It is my fourth one. The noise in the cab is at about 95- 100 decibels. I had a choice of three machines and they were all the same. Previous models were much quieter. The noise comes from the hydraulic pump. Since then I got a cavitation noise that got pretty bad. The dealer changed the pump but they said the machine was still very loud. Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions to make it quieter.

Louis, I have worked on several KX80's and the in tank hydro filter is where I would look. Make sure that has been replaced, and replaced correctly. There is a spring release built into the filter, and its threaded onto your pickup tube. Its possible the hose attached to that tank isn't tight and is sucking air, or the filter is plugged or restricted, or something along those lines. I don't recall the KX80 being louder than any other model so I think you are correct in trying to find out what's wrong.

Also I wonder if there is some detent valve somewhere that could be faulty. You know when you operate a lever past where the cylinder ends and it makes a noise? Maybe you have a pressure relief problem or something failing in that department.

Just suggestions, hard to tell without hearing or seeing the machine.
