Ita a shovel not a hoe???
What is that thing? A reverse backhoe? Or a I just looking at it wrong?
I'm glad I'm not the only one- I thought I'd had one too many the night before.???

Not a tractor but same difference.I'm glad I'm not the only one- I thought I'd had one too many the night before.
I'd like to see a pic or two of that mounted on a tractor. (or whatever)
I'm just assuming, but it looks pretty old and unused so who knows.I had seen the big stuff, but I had no idea they made any to fit the "small" stuff.
Thanks.
There are quite a few swivel and swing attachments for back hoes and Trac hoes. From what I understand they are quite popular over seas and not so much here state side. I can't remember the name of it, but our 310sj with the total Control package had a attachment on the hoe that would allow you to swing the bucket from side to side. Made ditch work super easy. It did loose some digging force at the bucket though. Biggest let down of it was it replaced the hydraulic quick coupler for the bucket and we had to pin on our buckets. I'm sure there have been improvements since 2008.Looks like it would take some serious fabrication and hydraulic plumbing skills to get that mounted on a tractor. I certainly wouldn’t consider mounting it on my little L without also fabricating a subframe for it. Swing appears to have been controlled by a pinion engaging what looks to be a rack by the rear pivot. Not a normal setup for a tractor. Also looks like it mounted via a flat plate to whatever it was once mounted on.
I know some of the newer Cat mini-ex’s have an option to turn the bucket around to operate in “shovel mode” but that thing looks like a pretty unique item. Interesting to look at. Not interesting to spend money on.
