Recently got a b6100, we need a bush hog/rotary cutter. I have looked around the forum, seeing there are options for us, but having trouble finding anything for sale. We live in Ontario. Any advice etc would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

Landpride makes small rotary cutters. Most Kubota dealers can source them. Finding a used 4’ or smaller cutter will be difficult. You’ll probably have to order a new one.

The sad thing is , saw a nice one in the scrap yard, 4'..but I had ZERO use for it. did get the 100 year old potatoe digger for $50 though. Always amazes me what people toss out.

I've owned 3 different Kingkutters (all different sizes) I have worked the snot out of them, and they have been bullet proof. I've cut 8' tall brush with a 15hp Shibaura and a 4' Kingkutter rough cut mower.

I added those. I set the tail end of the cutter a bit high to expedite discharge (and use less power). The Shiibaura had a short wheelbase, and when I was cutting through tall brush, the front skids would dig into the dirt on the uneven ground. (I cut pretty short, so I didn't leave tall stems), The wheels/mounts came off a baler pickup, That setup worked great - no more gouging.

I wish Kingkutter had a more shallow approach angle on the front skid, and a bit wider.

Good day.

I have a 5’ in pretty good shape and not currently in use. If you are interested to travel to NE Ohio, send me a PM. (It’s probably under snow at the moment)

I currently have 5' rough cut mower that I use with my 32 hp Kubota. I've bolted rigid 6" castor wheels at the front corners of my mower to prevent gouging. They work great, and I might have to replace one every 2 or 3 years.

I'd look on facebook marketplace or craigslist or similar in your area. I've found many of my implements on marketplace for great deals. Also see 4' cutters often.

For sure we are doing that, just tough to find something small enough

IF you decide to go with a new cutter keep in mind that King Kutter implements , which seem to be available in your area, make two different 4 foot cutters. The XP model is much better suited size wise to your 3 point hitch dimensions and lighter weight than the standard 4 foot cutter.

Ok cool, we have no real clue about much, as far as what will work or fit. Thanks for the advice.

I have a B7100 and purchased the King Kutter standard 4 foot cutter and it did work, but barely. I say barely because it is my understanding that while both your tractor and my B7100 have a class 1 three point hitch they are what has been described to me by the King Kutter customer service as a "limited" class 1 hitch. Much like the BX series of Kubota sub-compacts.

As far as HP to run the four cutter my B7100 had no issues.

You can cheat on the 3pt width spacing by turning one of the bottom pins inward,
