New to the forum

I have around 5 acres mostly grass that i have been cutting with an old riding mower till just recently the motor blew up. I also have 30 acres that i lease as hunting property and will be double it to 60 acres next year. I am considering the l4701 & getting the 3rd function and getting a 60"finish mower, 5ft bush hog, and loader with qa. My father-in-law has a bobcat with several attachments not sure if they will be compatible with it though. I had looked at jd got a few buddys with them relized that the kubotas were better quality and have used both kubotas and jd in the past. Just looking at some buying tips and suggestions since this will be my first tractor of my own

No 60" implement will cover the tread of machine. I know because I measured. A 60" rear finish mower barely covers the width of an L2501 ( 3301, 3901 ). With ~38 PTO HP, you could almost run an 8' bush hog, but the more commonly available 6' would be cheap enough on craigslist.

If your concerned about getting a 72" finish mower into tight places, the L4701 might be too big a machine anyway.

The loader is SSQA for the bucket standard on that machine.... I Believe....

Go to Kubota.com and build your own, typically knock %10 off that price and you're in the ballpark.

Have you had any Experience with the bush hogs or any other implements that everything attachments offers? They are based on the other side of the state

Everything Attachments seems to have good quality implements, going by the the brands they offer and the comments of others, but you might save some by shopping around also. There's an outfit called Leinbach's in East Bend (near Winston-Salem), that deals in implements and Kubota dealers usually handle Landpride, which is a reputable brand. Going through the dealer, I think you can roll the implements into a package financing plan, if that suits your needs.

I thought about the large standard L but decided to step up a little to the MX and I don't think there's much difference in price between them.

The bobcat attachments should work, but if they have a hydraulically powered motor you're not likely to get enough hydraulic flow from a compact tractor to operate them properly.

I don't know about the finish mower but other implements I'd be looking at 6' instead of 5'.

Ok scdeerslayer that would save a little on attachments since we just have the normally like buckets and forks and a blade thatvwe had put together for the bobcat.

Thanks for the advice grandad4 i hadnt heard about that outfit in winston salem but i will be looking in to them and i had also looked at rolling a few items in with financing it.

But all in all i do appreciate the advice that yall are giving me

Grandad 4 i went to look up leinbach online and it shows that they have closed down not sure if it might have been something recent
Sorry about that. It's been a while since I was last over there. That was quite the place... too bad they couldn't keep it going. I see the Leinbach-branded products are still offered by Everything Attachments.
