I was operating my L2501 with LA525 when the joystick started feeling not normal. As it happened it then became non-responsive up and down, and was stuck in float. Turned out the heim joint number 070 unscrewed itself from the joystick, part 110. Not sure if this relates to your problem but might be a good place to start.

I was able to diagnose by pulling the rubber dust boot up, part 300, but did have to remove the plastic cover, part 280, to re thread and tighten.

Hi,
My loader got stuck in float, now it's floated down and the lever won't move normally. Anyone help?
Thanks!
After checking beneath the rubber boot, finding it secure there, and topping off the hydraulic oil not helping, I resorted to a pry bar gently under the knob of the connection. It was just stuck. Works now.

Glad you got it figured out!

The float function, like most detents, is provided by small ball bearings and springs in a cap at the end of a valve spool.

For tractors living outdoors, moisture gets into the cap and rusts things.

Your problem, unfortunately, will likely return.

Others may have comments on lubing these parts or providing a drain hole.
