Loader arm retention clip broken, how screwed am I?

Left side loader retention clip ( if that’s even what it is called) broke. I couldn‘t get an appointment with the dealer until mid-June. Can the loader be operated in this condition or is the arm going to try and lift off the frame the moment I take tension off it as if I’m trying to remove the loader assembly? Pics to better illustrate my issue.

it's part number 7J62656063 , about $22 here in Canada,my local dealer probably has them on the shelf.
I'll look tomorrow to see...'how it works'. only had my loader off twice in 7 years,so not clear it's role.
If you know any local welders, they could repair it in 10 minutes.

Just replace the lever, it's just two bolts and a spring.
