Hi Guys, firstly great site as from Friday i am a proud owner of a BX2200 with mid 60" deck and std 600L clamshell blower / collector. it is a 2001 uk model with 1700hrs. i have one issue but kinda difficult without an operators manual. When i look in sideways at the deck it appears higher on the front than the back by about 1 and 1/2 inches. I think its called "dial a hieght" wheel located left side below seat, this is missing the knob, could this have some effect on this? also would appeciate if any one has a pdf basic manual for this showing maintenance points ect.

Thanks in advance Philip

The knob is to set the height the deck drops to when it is lowered. So, you raise the deck, set the knob, and lower it and it drops to that distance off the ground. In one position (top) it stays up even when you lower the 3ph, which means you don't have to remove the deck if you are going to use the 3ph. You really want to replace that knob.

I can't figure out how your deck is higher at the front than the back, because if it is installed correctly, you've essentially got a parrallelogram, with the deck being the lower segment. As the deck goes up and down, front and back arms pivot - it has no choice but to be level. So, I'd have a close look at how it has been installed. I think the only adjustments are to sort of tension the front: too tight and it doesn't go up, too loose and it falls off. So I'd have a carefull look at the brackets, etc., and make sure the thing has been installed correctly.

Hmmm. Maybe check out answer #2 in Belly mower cutting height adjustment on the attachments forum

Thanks for the info mingy and Vic, yes it looks like it could possibly be the front tension bolts on the quick release bracket they do appear to be quite tight with no free play at all. I will mark them up and back them off equally and see how it goes. also i noted there does not appear to be a lot of lift movement on the deck it rises and falls approx 2-3 inches i would have expected more lift. I will check this out and keep you all posted. Thanks once again, Philip Ireland

Just a thought - if you try real hard, you can install the front brackets upside down, and I think they end up being effectively shorter if you do. If I recall (at work now) installed correctly, the brackets are like a flat 'L', installed upside down, they are like a flat '^', if you know what I mean.

Hi Guys, I thought i would come back and share the problem found on the deck, sorry i've been away so long had no internet access for a long time. Well for quite a while i was looking at this one too deep, The tractor was fitted with a GDC600 collection system and had its 3 point linkage fitted, so when you pull the deck up on the hydraulics the arms move up but because the collector is fixed to solid non moveable mounts the lift arms contact the collector frame and hence the deck dosent lift because arms solid. Fixed issue by removing the 3 point linkage, deck is now at correct level and lifting and lowering fine through full range. Cheers for the pointers, Phil
