Light Switch on L3750

I am changing the dash panel and I cannot determine how to disassembly the light/signal switch for fear of breaking it. Some help please.

Pull the light selector knob straight up, it just snaps on. The turn signal lever is the same way.

Kudos to Whitetiger....knowing how it comes apart gave me comfort in forcing it apart.
