I have been looking at this site for a couple of days now. I have a L1501 that i have had for about 12 or 13 years and it has been a very good little tractor. So i found a L1500 for sell so i got it for parts but it just has a few problems. the main one is the lift leaks down very bad i was wanting to no if i could get some info. on it .

Thanks very much for any help. Vbrewer

If you know how to replace the seals then do it.
I would replace BOTH seals on each ram, if this is the problem.

OK, have to take both rams off.
So, piston and ram housing meet is where you need to take them apart.

Hope it is like mine!!!! Pain in the Arse...

Your tractor doesn't have the rams to lift the three point like the newer M series tractors have. It should have two short arms that pivot just below the back of the seat. Under there is where you will need to be working. There is a piston, cylinder, and valving that will need attention. Get or borrow a WSM, its pretty straight foreword but a shop manual can be like gold. If you can build a small block motor, you can fix the lift.
