We replaced the Hyd. pump on this tractor, and are setting up the hyd. system, relief pressure is 1900 psi, but for adjusting the lift arms is there a recommended engine rpm for this adjustment, the book doesn't list one? thanks

I am not sure what you are asking but there is really only one relief valve in the tractor itself that protects the pump and hydraulic system as a whole. The pressure is set around 1920 to 2000 psi then the feedback control rod is attached and adjusted. Here is the Work Shop Manual page that covers this. Since I am not sure what high idle really is I would get it to 1500 to 2000 RPM and do the pressure adjustment and then leave that alone and do the control rod adjustment at the same engine speed.

If I am off base please ask again, or wait for more answers.

Thanks for your reply, as I said we have the relief valve pressure set, it's the linkage adjustment that I have question on [ I have the book with the info you showed] but at what rpm should the tractor be at for adjusting the linkage, [ if I keep it at high idle, it doesn't work right at low rpm[ there seems to be some debate of what high idle is, some say full throttle, others say about 1000 rpm ??] what do you say high idle means and what rpm for linkage adjustment? thanks

Three point control linkage adjustments have no bearing on RPM's.

While I agree with the statement above that it doesn’t matter, the squealing noise is probably louder when the RPMs are higher.

That is around 1500 to 2000 RPM for ”high idle” to me.
