Hello,
The front left wheel on my BX-1860 does not turn. This happens in 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive. I have been able to free it up on pavement by going forward and backwards a few times, but this is hard to do when I need the FEL for plowing out my driveway and I'm on snow/ice. I assume I've got some major work to do, but not familiar with the possible cause for this to happen.
I searched the forum ( this is my first post) and did not see anyone discussing this issue. Sorry if I missed a thread on this topic.
Thanks for any advice. --Peter

Most likely your spider gear assembly is the problem. Jack up the front of the tractor and turn the wheel, looking for binding and noise coming from the front differential. The cause is most likely no lubrication. I have never done this job, but I am sure that someone else here can because it isn't an uncommon repair.

could be a busted tooth in there..it 'floats around' fine then gets 'meshed' with the gears, and 'locks up' the front diff.
My forklift broke a bullgear tooth off, the temporary bodge was to remove the busted tooth and be careful driving it.
