Hello all.

Been having some trouble finding a replacement blade spindle with the correct pulley for a Land Pride Mower Model AT2572.

I ordered and received a complete spindle and hub assembly replacement from my local Kubota dealer. Unfortunately the spindle assembly included a 1/2 pulley meant for a 1/2 inch belt instead of 5/8 inch pulley like the original.

My mower and every mower in the list of models that this particular spindle assembly is for uses a 5/8 inch belt. The part number that I received is # 310-132S.

Numerous contacts with Kubota by my dealer has resulted in them telling us that this is the only pulley they have.

I probably could find a half inch belt out there that might work but I would prefer to retain the 5/8 inch belt that the machine is supposed to have.

My question is this: Has anyone else out there run into this problem and, if so, how did they manage to get the correct pulley?

Thanks in advance!!

Messicks shows a 5” and 6” pulley. Looks like the bores are different as well. Website doesn’t list any specs.

Thank you for your responses!!

I have included pictures below. The 1st pic is the original pulley and the 2nd is the new one. The inside width of the original is a hair over 5/8 with a rounded shoulder and the new one is a hair over 1/2 with a sharp shoulder at the edge. They are both 5 inch in diameter.

As you can see the new pulley is meant for a 1/2 inch belt. If I were to use a 5/8 inch belt on this it would wear a groove into the belt at the edges and then not make proper contact with the rest of the pulleys.

Messick's website has helped to some degree in showing that none of the mowers that this spindle assembly is meant for uses a 1/2 inch belt yet I received a 1/2 inch pulley.

On top of that my dealer says apparently they cannot supply me with the correct pulley because they are all the same.

I have to say I am quite frustrated with them at this point and am trying to find alternatives. Unfortunately the alternatives that I have found so fare are of questionable quality.

Just wondering if anyone else has come across this and what they did to remedy the situation?

Thanks again!!
