I bought my 3rd function from Messicks for a BX80 series. What an amazing dealer. Very helpful. Took time on the phone with me and helped walk through some common issues.

I live about 6 hours from them so I had it shipped. Figured what the hell, I’ll do it myself.

I assume it’s a 2 hour job but took me 4, the directions are fairly good. Land Pride could have labeled the parts just a hair better like all the different fittings BUT they were ok. It does tell you to put the tire back on too early. I found out the hard way and took the tire back off to run the solenoid cables and power cable.

There aren’t too many YouTube videos that help you out BUT one guy has a decent one on there. There was no real heavy lifting other than the tire twice lol. I just could see paying 2-400 bucks from the dealer and them having my tractor for 1-3 days. If I had to do it again I’d still do it myself.

I will say make DAMN SURE none of your hydro lines or power lines are going to get in the way of anything. I was doing a final check and found my hydro lines were too close to a fan near the rear and just took a few minutes to re route them. The hardest fitting was up under the rear tire that goes from the tank to the FEL control stick. I have no clue how they put it together in such a tight area. I ended up putting an additional 90 degree couple on it to make it a little easier.

You trying to do it yourself and have a question? Just message me and I’ll give you my opinion if you want it.

I also purchased mine from Messicks, and installed it myself. I found that the instructions left a lot to be desired, since there were omissions, such as instructing to remove the plastic cover that is over the top of the loader valve. It is only 2 nuts to remove, and it makes removal of the one hole that goes from the valve to the tractor right side very easy. They also should send hose protectors to protect the hose that you replace on the valve, and the hose that goes under the tractor. I had some hose protection sleeves already in my tractor parts stash, which made it a lot easier and much safer for the protection of the hoses that run under the tractor. I also learned that you have to remove one of the 3rd function valve bolts to rotate the valve upward to get the lower hose installed. None of these things presented an insurmountable problem, but added to the frustration of poorly written instructions. My biggest frustration came when they say in the instructions to take the tractor to your dealer to hook up the lines, if you have a backhoe on the tractor, and don't explain why. It turned out that they were worried that you might inadvertently hook up the wrong hose from the valve to the loader valve. This could have easily been explained away by instructing to put a strip of white tape on both ends of one hose, and telling exactly where you want that hose to be attached to.
I also made one modification to the placement of the quick connects on the loader itself.
