Hello All - I have a lift and had the 4 main hoses replaced - I need help getting them back in place in the block. There are 4 cylinders - 2 for lift and 2 for bucket. See photo - the block has 4 quick disconnect plugs . Are the top 2 plugs for for the lift cylinders or bucket. I don't think they are paired left and right. Ugh -

WHEN SITTING ON THE TRACTOR, I think the two on the left side are the boom (up/down), and the right side are the bucket (curl/dump).

Appears the spool on the left has the detent for boom float extending from the valve, and is longer than the other spool.

If a function works reverse of what it should, just swap the hoses on their respective side.

What he said but the bucket probably has fast extend. If you reverse those hoses it will not curl - just extend.

I thought my bucket just curled, with a fast dump feature...

Never heard the term extend before...probably the result of living in a different reality some of the time...I know there is a regen feature for fast dump...might have the term wrong.

Never thought of being able to extend my loader bucket...as compared to like the case backhoe with the extend-a-hoe feature. I know, I better get a life... :)

Fast extend as in the extension of the cylinder which dumps the bucket. Also known as regen and/or fast dump. It does not matter what you call it, if you reverse the hoses the bucket will not curl. It will dump when the joystick is moved left or right.

Thanks for the clarification. I get your meaning now. Just never heard it expressed that way. I can see how that makes sense, especially for someone very knowledgeable about hydraulics...

Truth is I have been working with someone plumbing a log splitter. Log splitter valves with regen are commonly described as "fast extend" and that was simply the first thing that popped into my head......

Holy Moly Wolfman - that photo did the trick - I thought they would be upper for one (lift) and lower for the other (bucket) -
Left side for one vs other - I am getting all new quick disconnects - So, I can swap them around if the control reverses - THANK YOU

As viewed from seat two left most couplers on valve are lift. Two right most couplers are bucket.
