Welcome aboard!!!!!

Wow…..that looks like an “interesting” project

Looks like it was “stored" at the bottom of the ocean though…….

Unfortunately, I have no idea on where to buy one, but it sounds like you have the capability to make one.

Keep us up-to-date on how it turns out, and remember……….Pics, ….or it didn't happen(y):D

YIKES !!! have to wonder what the rest of the loader, heck whole tractor looks like !
You should ask Google about 'cylinder cross tubes'....
I can easily get these....
You'll have to measure what you need of course. If the loader was made in USA, it 'should' be Imperial an not Metric ??

I agree with you 100% to replace it. Easy lathe job to make part if you have one or know someone that does. Final sizing of the bore should be done after welding it in.

nice project... I'm no expert on this issue but FWIW..... Will you have to keep it in 2wd only due to the mis-matched tires?

If you have an oxy acetylene cutting torch you could cut a couple kerfs the length of the pin/bushing. That would shrink it similar to what lancing a pin does. If talented enough with a torch you could even cut through the pin to the bushing without harming it.

I made new bushings for mine and mase them larger but turned the ID large enough to hold 1" leaf spring shackle bushings. when welding them in just use a long rod the same diameter of the pin and align them in the loader arms. The tolerances are not that tight on the bucket and arms so machining after welding is generally not needed unless you weld it in all cattywampus.

The tread style can be mismatched as long as the size is right. ;)

Looks great man!

I am "officially jealous" of your shop too. (y) (y) (y)

(although it is a little ‘too clean” for my taste ;);))

After seeing the RUST inside the loader arm, curious, if you can 'treat' it somehow to stop the rusting process ? Maybe some chemical treatment then a rust paint ?
If you want to you can look at gas tank repair kits that might work to remove the rust and paint the interior of the tube (assuming it could be rotated or sprayed on the interior surface. I would wait until after you weld it together before you get the paint applied (and probably the rust removed after welding?)

I just used a KBS system that cleaned and removed the rust well.

I know they also make some material that is poured into steel rudders to keep them from rusting. That might help now but I really don’t know.

Maybe something here would help?

Thanks for the insite. I got some of this when I redid a trailer recently and worked pretty good on the rust before paint.

Put a rod that runs from one side to the other to set them parallel to each other when you weld the bushing in.
