I think I have buggered up threads for one of my grease fittings on the top of my LA1065 loader arm for my MX4800. I thought it may have been the fitting but a new one didn’t thread in properly either so I think I need to clean up the threads. What size tap will I need for these fittings?

thx!

Kubota uses metric size in some machines. Having read all the grease fitting posts for the last few years, the consensus is to just retap the hole for a standard grease fitting that is available locally. I don't remember the thread count, but the smaller holes are usually tapped using a 1/8" tap that mates up with the grease fittings.

The loaders are U.S./GA made/assembled and are not necessarily equipped with metric zerks.

I have ”kits” of both types and use a new zerk out of a kit to determine the type/thread when replacing them.
