Hello. I just purchased a 2005 L5030 2 months ago from a dealership about 3 hours from me and the tractor quits moving once it warms up. I spoke with the dealership and they advised me to drain the hydraulic fluid and change the filters. Afterwards there was no change in the performance. There were large metal pieces on the hydraulic filter magnet. I called the dealership and they said they would not do anything for me and I would have to take it to a nearby dealer for repairs. My local dealer told me to check for blockages, so I took everything apart without splitting the tractor and cleaned it. I found one blockage of large metal pieces in the oil cooler. After cleaning it and reassembly it still didn't work correctly. My local dealer said it will need a hole new hst assembly and will cost between $13-$15k for everything.

Does anyone have any suggestions that I can do to fix this hst? It just stops moving and makes a funny sound under a load.

buy the parts, replace bad parts, fix it yourself. anytime you talk to a dealer ?, they will high dollar you a ton !. keep in mind, any parts for a hydro system...let alone for a kubota is going to cost you a few thousand dollars in parts. i just fixed my b2100 4wd, hydro, parts for the hydro cost me right around 2600 bucks just for the parts. i did the labor myself.
