Hello All,

I have a L4310 and every time I press on the A/C button it blows the corresponding fuse. Never a problem running the fan though. Anyone have a similar problem? I imagine it's a short somewhere - but how to find it... I am hoping this is a problem that has cropped up before and someone can point me in the right direction of the most propbable spot to start looking...

Thanks!

Ray

Might try unplugging the wires at the A/C compressor. Don't know if that will help or not but it's a place to start. I would look at the wires around the compressor and see if any have been rubbing on anything.

Assuming compressor is not locked up (no belt squeal) check the compressor relay and associated wiring. If fuse blows immediately I'd suspect dead short between switch and relay. Could even be switch itself. Time to break out test lamp and multimeter.
