I've replaced the seat on my tractor because the bottom was broken. This in an L4240, and the back with arm rest is fine. I don't need it, won't be using it, and hate to toss it to the scrap pile.

If anyone wants it they can have it. I can separate the no good bottom and box it up. The bottom was over $300 to replace. The entire seat was $1100. Just seems reducilous.

I bought this tractor a couple of years ago, and the previous owner must have left it outside quite a bit, or washed it too much because the seat bottom has a plastic base and that base tends to hold water.

My wife says I have to limit my hoarding! Send an email or PM.

Here's a couple of pictures.

The one on my M9 open station was very similar. Not being a hoarder, I tossed it to the curb and some 'hoarder' picked it up almost immediately.

Dang things are heavy.

The Patroit Cordura seat you enlightened me on is a much better alternative. It's heavy too...lol

Flip, since I replaced it it's been in the back of my Polaris Ranger taking up space. If a guy needed one, you can't find one. If you don't want one, you can't find someone to give it to!!

The seat I have on it now is just like the one you bought. I have it covered with the cover I had on the other seat. With some slight adaptations I got it mounted on the original bracket.

The Cordura thing bothers me a bit in as much as the tractor is out in the weather (by the shop as I dump money into it...lol) so I found a 30 gallon hefty bag covers it quite nicely and I poked a hole where the fore and aft adjustment lever is and that keeps the bag in place.

Once its finished (and I'm broke) it will reside in the barn anyway out of the weather.

I see the price went up substantially. If they ever do a price like that gain, I'm going to get one for my zero turn mower. With my luck they probably never will.
