I just purchased a used L4200Dt-GST-C, I'm looking to purchase a Front End Loader, I need to know what the Hyd. System is considered as, an Open Center/Closed Center or a Pressure Flow Compensated system. So I can get the correct Joystick Control unit for the loader.

Thanks

Still learning about hydraulics, could someone describe what the difference is between the three? Also, I've seen a number of references to downstream power in hydraulics (working from memory, not sure if that's exactly right), but nothing defining it. Thanks

Open center system flows fluid all the time.
All of Kubota hydraulic systems are open center to my knowledge.
Closed center system flows fluid only when demanded.
Pressure flow compensated systems are hybrid system that do both.

When you say down stream power the better term would be power beyond.
It's the ability of a valve to pass power and flow on down the line to another valve or system.
