My L4200 GST has 1100 hrs. on it. while driving it I lost power steering one day also forward and reverse gears. After letting it set for several minutes steering returned somewhat and the forward and reverse gears engaged although it took several seconds before engaging. I changed the hydraulic filter and the fluid. I still get marginal steering and several seconds hesitation before engagement in forward and reverse occurs. I sure could use and idea or two, thanks Larry

Is the clutch adjusted correctly? Almost sounds like a pressure issue though. I know my GST is a little slow to engage until the fluid warms up, but it still engages.

Okay here's what we found out about my L4200 Trans not engaging. We split the tractor and found that the snap ring holding the gst clutch pack in somehow snapped, this thing is 4" in diameter and 3/16 inch thick. and 14" wide, Then the spring plate, that looks like a snap ring got all twisted up in the housing of the clutch plate casing. The clutch plate casing is broken and bent up. On top of that the PTO clutch housing is also damaged. WE think it was caused by a serious pressure surge. looking for used parts anybody know a good salvage yard for Kubota parts
