I have a 2015 L4060 Hydro with a Cab with 475 hours on the meter. After I run the tractor for an hour or more it will not restart. The starter will not engage at all or turn over.
I have power to the dash console panel and headlights. The battery tests fine (12.6 volts). But the tractor acts dead like a safety switch is not allowing the starter to turn over. I am making sure the tractor is in neutral, the PTO is off and the parking brake is engaged. Also making sure the fws/reverse foot pedal is in the neutral position. The tractor is Still dead when I turn the key.
If I let it sit for a couple of hours it will start right up. The tractor is NOT overheating; the guage shows normal temp and it all the coolant levels are good.
Looking for some answers to this mystery. Thanks in advance!

I had considered this and will test it. Thanks for the suggestion.
You could try to start it by jumping the solenoids when the engine is hot.

If you know 100 percent that it’s not a safety switch I’d remove the starter and have it rebuilt. Definitely cheaper than buying a replacement.

Reminds me of a Chevy story back in the 70's. There was a problem with the main power connection at the starter. When the engine was warmed up, the connection became loose and the connection wouldn't carry sufficient current. After cooling down all was well again. I think they solved the issue by going with a Belleville washer?

Appreciate the additional info. I'm wondering if jumping the solenoid to test the starter could hurt the tractor in any way?

Thanks for your suggestion! I will check the connection to the starter.
