SnowPlow setup with tractor frame mount using loader to lift. Can’t quite recall where I’d gotten suggestions, either here or ?? Anyways, I had reservations on SSQA mounted angle plow… mostly didn’t want to twist loader frame if/when I hit large snow pile or some kind of obstruction, but also had had SSQA mounted plow previously and had experienced the lack of steering and traction when plow was lowered to ground for plowing. Also, wanted to keep loader on as use frequently throughout year with forks to load/unload stuff. Anyways, with neighbors welding skills help, built plow frame to bolt to tractor frame (4 locations) that would receive plow A-Frame with 2 pins. A-frame equipped with hydraulic rams for angling that was hooked to 3rd function tractor valves for angling. Raising/lowering plow accomplished via chain from plow A-Frame to Loader cross member hook (welded on). Works well, advantages include: 1) Loader weighs about 1400 lbs. and with that weight suspended mostly over the front wheels, significantly aids steering and traction. Conversely, if that weight transferred to ground via plow in float position… reduced steering/traction. 2) plow easily disconnected with 2 pins and 2 hydraulic quick disconnects so as to use other attachments (forks, bucket). Use rear box blade (72”) to pull snow away from garage doors, and then in wide spaces to push snow back in one direction then use front blade to push snow in other direction and vice/versa. Use plow skid shoes (round) so as to avoid pushing too much gravel to side on close to ½ mile long gravel driveway. Plow is older 7.5’ Meyers truck plow, which seems just about right for Kubota L4060. After two tractors and 3 different plow setups… think I’ve finally got best I can do, although a wing plow might be nice someday.
