dszlammer, I believe the L39 is a larger version of the L35 which is what I have. And I believe all L39s have the glide shift transmission which Kubota has used in a lot of tractors both larger and smaller than ours and with great success. I don't know too much about how they work, but I do know the clutches run in oil and are supposed to last a long time, longer than the conventional clutch. I know the L35 has 2 hydraulic pumps that get their oil supply through the same spin-on filter located under your right foot. You've probably already checked the oil in the transmission and changed the filter to rule those out as the cause of your problems. Hopefully someone else who knows how the GST works will jump in and give you more suggestions. Good Luck!
