Has anyone ever removed the rubber protective boot from the joystick on the L39 loader? There seems to be something sticking in there at the float position but I cant figure out how to remove the boot. I removed the cable at the spool end and the spool seems to work fine. So the problem must be in the joystick mechanism but hthe boot must be removed to get access. Tx!

I was finally able to remove the boot by softening the rubber with a heat gun. The weather here is real cold and even after a few hours in my heated garage the rubber was not sufficiently flexible for removal but the gun did the trick. The problem with the joystick was too much humidity (water droplets) that froze the ball joints solid. Again the heat gun and a good blast of compressed air got that water out. Tonight at minus 20 C should be a good test.
