Have a L3800 HST. It has very weak hydraulic power. It will not even pick up a Jeep transmission with the forks on. I have tried boosting the pump with spacers, with no luck. It has gotten really weak in a short period of time. Can’t really remember when I bought it, but I think it was 2015. It only has a little over 500 hrs, the last 250hrs have been very bad for front bucket hydraulics. What do I need to check first? It is really really bad!!

Do you mean you put spacers in the relief valve to bump the pressure up?
What was the pressure?
first, It could be you have a plugged up system, when was the last time you did a fluid and filter change?
Secondly it could be that you have a suction side leak, that will entrain air into the system and make everything weak, check for seeping leaks on the large suction side fittings and hose.
And thirdly you could have a blown internal seal if only the lift is bad yet the curl has force.

Sounds like you have many problems with that tractor. You have another thread about it blowing white smoke and fuel problems. If you've messed with the hyd. pressure without a gauge, you might not want to mess with the fuel system....you could get into an expensive situation with just guessing on items.

I am having all kinds of problems with this tractor. First 6 months I owned it the transfer case screwed up. Took it to Kubota, hydraulics haven***8217;t worked right since. I bought the tractor new. I decided I would put my skills to work on it, the dealer obviously can***8217;t handle it, and it takes them a month to change a tire. I don***8217;t guess at what I do. I try to research all I can and ask questions on things that I am not absolutely sure about. That is why I***8217;m here now. Wolfman, I do have something bypassing, I haven***8217;t found any leaks but the bucket will leak down. Curl seems to be fairly strong (not like it was before) but the lift really stinks.

I'm with D2Cat on this, I think you might be a little in over your head, your tractor does NOT have a transfer case.
And if a dealer told you it did they are 100% rip off artists!

You never answered, How did you set the pressure for the system?

You have a blown seal internally on the loader, won't see the leak but it's there.
