I need to lower the speed on my 3 pt hitch, and in the owners manual, it mentions A-fast (turn left), B-Slow (turn right), and C-Lock.

What's the correct procedure to adjust the speed........do I "unlock", adjust, and "relock"? The lock appears to be something to unscrew? If so how many turns?

Also does this speed adjustment effect the FEL?

Thanks for any & all help!!!

In the manual - turning clockwise will cut off hydraulic flow, so depending on what you are doing and how you want to do it - turning towards the right (CW) will slow the drop - too much to the right and it WILL NOT drop at all!

There is no lock or unlock - set to what you desire. Think about washing hands at a sink, you turn a handle to slow/increase the hydraulic flow - this knob is doing the same.

Thanks for the reply........I guess I'm still wondering why they mention "Lock" in the manual as illustrated by your attachment??????

This is just a guess because I can't tell from the diagram, but in that general area near the operator there is often a lever that locks the FEL valve in position. It is referred to in the manuals as "lock".

The three point lift adjustment speed does not effect the FEL.

The adjustment is incremental, the more you turn it to the right the slower the speed of it's fall, till it reaches a lock state, in the lock state it will not go down, and on some models it will not rise either, so it "locks" it operation out.

On some models there is a lock on the FEL control also, but that is different in that all it does is locks out the operation of the lever to control the FEL, making it inoperable.

Got It.....your explanation makes sense after looking at the diagram again. Thanks for that!! I was expecting to find a secondary knob/switch as a lock out.

Speaking of FEL, is there a similar speed control for the FEL?

Thanks NIW, my thought could have been confusing. What I was thinking is that Kubota often combines ideas onto one diagram, so the C lock might have been thrown on there even though not affecting the 3 pt hitch.

You control the rise/fall of the FEL! A sloppy stick will drive you crazy!
YOU have total control as you push and pull, the further you push/pull the faster you allow fluid to flow;):)

No there is no speed control adjustment, other than what Hokie85 was pointing out as far as the amount you move the handle controls the speed. ;)

Sheepfarmer - -

your comment makes me think what lugbolt has said a couple times.

He said the manuals are written in "Englanese," or something similar.

Japanese translated to English, and sometimes the translation isn't great......

I have a recently purchased new to me L2800 that I get alot of jerking when lowering the rear implements, lowering too fast. Problem is the knob under the seat doesn't turn, and I don't see a lock on it. This tractor is 10 years old, but only had 32 hours on it when I got it. I didn't want to take a pare of pliers to it before I checked with you guys for possible suggestions.

Flood around the shaft and case with a rust breaking solvent first. ;)
