After about 20 minutes or so depending on outside temps the tractor start to lose power. After another few minutes, she really starts to wind and has difficulty climb even the slightest inclines, RPM sometimes drops below 2500 including turning hard or all the way in either direction. But as soon as I'm going downhill or incline thee tractor jumps right back to a PTO speed of 560, I've even seen the tractor under a load go as low as 400 rpm PTO when the engine RPM drops. HST mode is worst sometimes the tractor shifts low range and bearly moves. Of course, auto-throttle is no better or worst. This started happening around 490 hours, with original fluid. Changed all the filters and used new fluid Supertec Heavy Duty after reading some post here. I'm worried it is the pump and it doesn't sound like an easy or inexpensive job?

My question then is can or is there an additive, adjustment or some other fluid addressing the issue I should try?

What you are describing sounds like your slipping or have damaged the clutch.

Also I don't know where on here you read to use Super Tech Heavy Duty, That's got to be one of the worse fluids for your application!

Welcome to the OTT forum J. We are glad that you joined.

Are you using Super Tech motor oil? Like Wolfman stated, I sure would use something better. I use Shell's Rotella T5 15w 40 motor oil.

Its Hydraulic fluid a new blend they offer. and no I'm not using motor oil in the transmission as fluid. Someone local suggested it might be a pedal adjustment? but like I said it runs fine for the first short while until it heats up.

Also as I stated this started happening with the original fluid at 490 hours?

Original HST oil at 490 hours?! Why?

Hydrostatic transmissions are built to close tolerances and are not tolerant of improper or dirty oil and/or filters.

Allowing the oil and/or filters to become contaminated results in very expensive damage.

You can try replacing the oil and filters with the correct Kubota materials but it may well be too late.

Be certain to clean the suction strainer(s).
