L35 - What is correct engine rpm to get 540 PTO rpm?

Just noticed something odd.

The L35 user manual says (p8) that the PTO turns at 540 rpm when the engine is at 2219 rpm. But the control panel on the tractor has a PTO indictator at 2500 rpm.

I wonder which one is right??

I'd go by what the control panel on the tractor indicates.

If you just HAVE to know, put a tachometer on the PTO shaft and measure it.

I asked the service dept at the dealer where I bought the L35 and they said to go by the indicator on the tractor's control panel. So 2500 it is.
