I’m dismantling this tractor to split and find an issue with engine or clutch. The step under panel frame says remove shuttle shaft lever support then pull shuttle lever shaft apart. Looks to me likes it’s supposed to come apart underneath the knuckle joint but I can’t get it apart and help is appreciated thanks.

You can take it apart at the splines (blue) or at the roll pin (yellow).
I'm betting the spline section is stuck.

Thank you for the response yea I had on blaster and been tapping it but won’t budge. The roll pin is kinda facing a direction that I couldn’t get the pin out very well. I’m going to try and do that tomorrow.

You may be able to get the “blaster” (which I am assuming you mean a penetrating oil PB Blaster) in the top of the lower half of the u-joint. In other words the u-joint may be a hollow tube with the rod sticking into it. The rod may be accessible from the top and create a small depression to fill.

The splined section may look like this

Yea I think I’m following you. The lower part has like a small cup on top of the spline that I filled with on plaster and I was tapping it up with a small hammer and a big wrench sitting around the u joint but it started to raise the part up where the roll pin connection goes through the floor. So I figured I could be doing something problematic there and stopped that. I still have it sitting filled and was tapping it some more I didn’t get back to it to try and get the pin out of the roll pin I will update once I do. Thank you everyone for the advice, and anymore info is appreciated.

Turn the shift lever so the pin is more accessible, tap it out then heat the splined section up good with a torch and try to tap it apart again.
