My tractor is leaking oil from under alternator mounting plate on timing cover. I removed plate and was full of oil in cavity under plate but looks to be no oil should ever get into cavity to start with. Anyone have this problem before, doesn’t look to have any cracks in timing cover

Either crack in case or something is pushing oil don to it.
Where is the valve cover breather house going?

My first L345DT had an oil leak I thought was at the front of the head. I replaced the head gasket but the leak persisted. Along the top edge of the front gear case its gasket to the block is very narrow. Oil was getting out through there. Rather than take off the cover I cleaned the area and put a bead of sealant in that corner - where the head, block and front cover all come together. That cured my leak, and might be worth checking out on yours? Take care, Dick B.
