I ran the tractor yesterday and it shut down after an hour or so. The engine RPM's drooped until it shut off. I got it to restart a couple times but the RPM's never got high enough to drive it. There was no response to the throttle. The throttle linkage is intact. I put on a new fuel filter the day before. I'm not sure at this point what the problem could be. Any suggestions as to what I can check ? Thanks for the help:confused:

Your engine is not getting fuel.

Either you didn't get the right filter, or get it setup right, you have a clog in the line, or some other obstruction that is not allowing fuel to get to the injection pump.

We will assume you bled the air out of the system after the filter change - unless you say otherwise. I doubt it would run for an hour if you hadn’t bled it.

Remove the fuel line going into the filter housing and see if you have a good stream of fuel there. I assume you have a steel tank and it may be rusted and clogging the fuel line.

Also there is probably a bleed valve on the injector pump, if you used it make sure it is tightened up.
