Why not, it's a mechanical part.
Anything can fail, especially when it's abused or misused.
This is why Kubota doesn't warranty that part.
How many hours did if fail at?

Yea that's really early, but I've seen one go out at 58 hours.
What work was the tractor doing?
How do you know it "bad"?
