Any suggestions on getting the tire back on? My front tire separated from the wheel. I let a relative bush hog a field for me and after 3 hours tractor came back like this. They didn't notice when the tire came off! No obvious damage other than the tractor is unusable.

I'd jack her up - pop those 6 lug-bolts and have the RELATIVE take it to the nearest tire shop! AND when the tire shop tells you that the inner walls of that tire are......shot:eek:, then have said relative REPLACE said tire!;):)

How do you NOT notice that?

Hopefully said relative has already offered to pay to have the tire fixed/replaced.

Well said haha. First time I let someone do the driving on the L. Well, at least it was my field that got mowed...

I saw one just like that a while back, rim spun inside the tire and cut it. It was in four wheel drive, and tractor was a little stuck. If there is no damage, then you are in luck. It likely has a hole or some sort of slow leak that never got noticed.
Puncture, loose valve core, leaking valve stem or a perforation in rim (crack or bad weld)

Jack up, wrap tire with ratchet strap remove valve core and give tire a blast of air.
Beating on tread area of tire while airing up may sometimes help bead grab.
Best to remove tire and clean out debris and check for damage or puncture.

Sounds like something a 13 year old would say!

If someone can be mowing a field and not aware when a tire comes off the wheel, that's a good indication they should not be operating that machine.

I'd follow 85Hokie's advice to a tee.

Just call your dealer and have them order a AMR8977A request right hand $251.00 plus UPS That's a tire and wheel combo ready to bolt on.

This stuff just floors me. We read story after story here of people (relative, neighbor, 'good friend') that borrow this equipment and it is returned hours/day later and stuff is bent, broken, popped, worn, torn, etc

Especially aggravating when it's a 'relative' and they pull the 'Whu? It wasn't like that when I was using it! You sure it hasn't been like that since you lent it to me??' card.

My equipment rental policy: Nope! lol

This happened to me during the NE blizzard last year. I'm pretty observant, but didn't notice the tire flopping around in the rim until my daughter pointed it out to me. Mine stayed within the rim edges with no visible damage. Since I was in a bind with a lot of contract driveways to plow, I exploded the tire on the rim with ether. I cannot in good conscious recommend this method, as it is dangerous. It worked on like the 2nd or 3rd try using increasing amounts of ether.
The only mistake I made was going to a lot of trouble to get a 20t hydraulic jack down to where the tractor was sitting. Should have just raised the front end with the loader.... Duh.

Agreed on the 'no use' policy for others using my equipment. It does get tough though as there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done myself. Lesson learned, I saved time bush hogging and spent it repairing the tractor instead !!

Anyways, I did remove the tire and wheel by lifting the front end with loader and placing jack stands for safety. Tire is at the tire shop down the street for inspection and repair. I think I will also order a replacement set to have on hand.

What I need is another Kubota tractor on hand for no down time. Grand L with cab maybe?!
