I am new to the forum but from the posting you folks have a lot of knowledge. Before I start troubleshooting my probelm I wanted to get advice as my L3240HST Loader control is starting to stick and is getting less smooth. Any advice would be appreciated.

What exactly do you mean by sticking? Does the handle move into every position? Does it return ok from every position? Any unusual noises? The more descriptive you are the better we may be able to help.

Going by the info you gave it sounds like the inside of your control has got water down in it and now is starting to rust. If this is your problem and you caught it quick enough you should be able to take the bottom of the control apart and clean everything up, lube it and then you should be good to go.

Good Point. The loader control lever will travel to all four directions and float fine. However in left or right direction she will stick and continue causing pressure on the HYD as if you were forcing the lever in that direction even though the loader has reached it's limit. It also seems to require more force than it has in the past to move the lever.

I will begin troubleshooting this during the coming weekend. Can I get to it by removing the seat? Also i purchased the shop manual is there a PDF anywhere of the valve to assist with disassembly?
