Working on a L3000 and can't seem to figure out this problem. Tractor was running great and then all the sudden one day lost power and eventually stalled out. I first emptied the fuel tank thinking it was water but after I got it primed back up still kept stalling out after about a minute of running smooth as silk. I've also replaced the lift pump and tried a in line clicker pump thinking the injector pump wasn't getting enough fuel. I've also tried the gas cap vent and replacing some lines and clamps thinking air was getting in the lines. I also replaced the fuel filter twice. Here are a list of things I have noticed: cylinder one seems to be really hard to prime up (takes a lot of cranking) and seems to maybe even lose its prime when tractor dies. the others prime up almost immediately though. The oil level is just above the top fill line (maybe diesel getting into the crank case from pump?). It has a little white smoke coming out but nothing too significant. Runs smooth as silk even at low idle but seems to lose power for about 5 secs after about a minute/minute and a half of running then runs smooth again. I've kept it running for about 15 minutes at low idle and would have kept running. I've even got it running at like 3000 rpm with a load, running great and then it dies. I'm kind of thinking an injector is stuck open or the injector pump for cylinder one is acting up. Let me know what you guys think.
