I have an L2900 that is smoking black smoke when running, i have isolated that number 3 cylinder is causing the black smoke by removing the fuel supply to that cylinder. have have replaced a 3 injectors and rebuilt the head.
any suggestions?

Sounds like you need to have the injection pump tested and/or rebuilt.

this kubota has 850 hrs. more or less
i just had a local diesel mechanic make adjustments to the injector pump and it took the black smoke part away,but it still seems to run sluggish with very little horsepower.
i guess he needs to adjust it a little more.it is hard for me to believe it could be out of timing.
we rebuilt the head and replaced all 3 injectors
#3 cylinder was all carboned up and #3 injector was not spraying right when doing a test on it it was shooting a stream instead of misting.
