L2850 w/ bush hog 2245qt lift capacity help

Hi! I bought an L2850 this week thinking it’d be good enough for moving round bales around. Specs with the standard LA loader seemed fine, but it came with and aftermarket bush hog with 2.5in lift cylinders and will only lift a round bale (1,000 lbs) about 3 ft in the air.
does anyone have any tips for increasing lift capacity or do I need a different loader / sell it and sadly buy something else?

Buy a bigger tractor.

Wear your seatbelt and always keep your ROPS up and locked.

If you can remove the bucket and get the hay spear closer to the tractor it should lift more weight.

But curious why 3.5 feet is not high enough?

The specifications for that loader say 1.77" lift cylinders and a max lift capacity of 875 pounds at 20" forward of the pins.

That seems to be what you are getting.

I have to doublestack bales so around 6ft high is usually fine. Sad mistake to make on an expensive purchase for our little farm. Thank you for the responses. I’ll relist this tractor and buy bigger. Darn

Sell the entire setup and buy a much larger tractor and loader.
