I'm about to replace the fuel pump on a L2800. Will change the fuel filter while I'm at it. Other than bleeding the lines afterward, what else do I need to know about doing this change out? Thanks
If you just doing the lift pump and not the injection pump, then just bleed the line that feeds the injection pump, you would not need to bleed the injectors.
Any time you work on any part of a diesel fuel system on an engine that is in running condition, always have the engine warmed up before you begin, if at all possible.
It's just easier to start an engine if the iron is warm, when you're finished with the maintenance.
