l2650dt power steering cylinder

one end of my l2650dt power steering cylinder is leaking. I have the seals and attempted to repair it but could not remove the end cap.
Anyone have any tips ?

I am familiar with removing the tie rods, etc. having replaced the drop spindle seals

That is a rather unique cylinder, there is only an O-ring holding the ends on, just smack the end with a dead blow hammer from the center out.

Another way to get it apart is ratchet strap on each end, or strap and come-along on other end and pull them apart.
