L2600/L285 Grey Tractor

I too seem to have bought a grey tractor. I have a broken shifting fork for 1 & 3, 5 & 7. Tractor has 4 cyl w/ 4 pto speeds. L285 manual shows part no 34200-2351-3. Looking to find & repair. Had for 5 years still run great w/1790 hours. Thanks.

Little confused as both the L2600 and L285 are not grey's, and not even comparable versions the L285 is much older than the L2600.

What model exactly do you have?

And if you have a parts list for a L285 it shouldn't have that part Number format, Part Numbers for non grey's are in this format XXXXX-XXXXX and Part numbers for grey's are XXXXX-XXXX-X

Was it a typo, and you meant L260, then again that is not a grey tractor.

North Idaho Wolfman, I thought on the older tractors the part numbers ended with the second hyphen and a single digit. Then at some point the second hyphen was eliminated and became as we see today....XXXXX-XXXXX.

I remember ordering parts with the double hyphened numbers I got from a parts list, and when I called Coleman they had the part. The part numbers digit were the same, they just had eliminated that last hyphen.

Now I'm really confused! (But I've been confused for a week now working on this stock trailer wiring")

New to the forum and appreciate the comments. Purchased the tractor from a private party without knowledge of grey tractors. Got the L2600 from the plate attached to the frame which should be in the attached image. Assumed that was the model L2600, serial no is 12124, and engine is V1500. All lettering on the tag is Japanese (assume). My research lead me to believe that the best fit when looking for operator's manual was the L285. The only difference is that my tractor has 4 pto speeds instead of 2 as shown in the manual. The rest of the manual matches up with my tractor. The parts numbers referenced came out of the L285 manual. I did note when searching on line that the part numbers were close but did not have the last hyphen as noted.

The Kubota gray market page lists the L2600.

Here is a case where Kubota has me scratching my head!
I didn't know I was 1/2 wrong.
Old L2600, Yes a Grey

New L2600, No not a grey

Now on to your issue
I will send you a link to download the L285 WSM, it might help to match up parts.

If you do need The shift fork P/N 34200-2351-3
It would have been replaced by P/N 34200-23513
Which was replaced by P/N 34200-23510
And at $663,30 I would suggest you make 100% sure it is the right fork.

Thanks for the help in finding a shifting fork for my tractor. The shifting fork is on its way from Wengers and hope to have put back together in a couple of weeks. This forum is great! Will let you know how the next chapter progresses.
