I have a L2501 that we purchased about a year ago. I used the tractor all winter with the snow blower which worked great. I needed to use the backhoe this weekend so I took the blower off the tractor and remounted the backhoe. As soon as the backhoe was installed we began to have a problem with the HTS drive. If you try to move forward or reverse by depressing the HST drive pedal the engine dies. We were able to get it to move short distances at a time and the backhoe still works like a champ. I haven't had any issues prior to the change over. I had a half tank of diesel and didn't add additional during the change over. I did change the fuel filter after the problem showed up. I changed the air filter prior to making the change over and didn't see issues following the air filter change. Any thoughts on what the issue might be?

First guess, seat switch. It doesn't like how you are or are not sitting on it.

Hi Sheepfarmer,
Thanks for the advice. It solved the problem. The backhoe seat was holding the driver seat up by a small amount.

Damn I wish that all the problems were that easy to fix. Great call by the Sheepfarmer.
