L2501 engine oil change frequency?

Howdy,

I looked in my manual and it states 200 hour engine oil frequency. I have not got close to 200 hours since the last change. However, it has been almost a year since the last engine oil change. Do you think that I should change anyway just due to time?

I don't think it is necessary but I also believe the manual is a guideline for service intervals.

However, I change mine each year and only average about 50 hrs a year.

To me it is peace of mind.

engine oil is the life blood of your system - that being said, and the cost being not too bad, I would agree CM, once a year...or 50-100 hours of service. And that depends on frequency of use of the machine.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking also. I really like my tractor and plan to keep it a long time.
